About Fairfield Prep Football
Fairfield Prep Football competes in both the CIAC and the Southern Connecticut Conference. The program has a rich history and most recently was the runner up in the 2021 and 2022 CIAC Class LL Championship.
The program runs a robust summer training program during the summer in order to prepare for the fall season. The returning players in the program meet 3-4 times a week to train both in the weight room and on the field. The incoming freshmen also train throughout the summer in order to prepare for the start of the fall football season.
The program fields teams at 3 levels - Freshmen, Junior Varsity and Varsity. Freshmen generally play 10 games generally on Thursdays throughout the fall. The JV team also plays a 10 games schedule generally on Saturday mornings throughout the fall.
The varsity team also plays a 10 game schedule ending with the traditional Thanksgiving Day rivalry game. In 2025 the team will begin a new Thanksgiving tradition by competing against Xavier from Middletown.
