Mike Papale Jr. enters his first season as Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach at Fairfield Prep. Prior to Prep, Papale spent 9 years as the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Sheehan High School, 3 years as the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Lyman Hall High School, and 2 years as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Albertus Magnus College. He also directed the Central CT Hoop Stars AAU Program for 12 years.
Prior to starting his coaching career, Papale was a two-sport standout at Assumption College where he is now a member of the Athletics Hall of Fame. He was a 1,000-point scorer on the basketball court and an All-Conference performer in baseball. Papale is a graduate of Xavier High School where he excelled in basketball, baseball, and football.
