Fairfield Prep teacher, coach and alumnus
Vin O'Hara, Class of 2001, has been named Prep's next Varsity Hockey Head Coach. O'Hara will become Fairfield Prep's fifth head coach in program history.
As a hockey player at Fairfield Prep, O'Hara helped the Jesuits win back-to-back CIAC State Championships in 2000 and 2001, and was recognized as an All-State player in his senior year. After Prep, O'Hara attended Hofstra University and played on the club hockey team before transferring to and graduating from Fairfield University in 2007. O'Hara returned to Prep as an Assistant Coach with the hockey program in 2014 and has served on staff ever since. This past fall, O'Hara joined the Prep faculty as an English and Social Studies teacher. Previously, he taught at the Unquowa School and The Southport School.
