Fairfield Prep

Former Cornell and Team USA defensemen Ryan McClay joined the Prep Lacrosse staff in 2017.  Before coming to Prep, Coach McClay was the Head Lacrosse Coach at Mahopac High School from 2004-2007.  As a player Coach McClay is one of the most decorated players in recent history.  The 2003 Cornell graduate was a two year Captain, a four time All-American including 1st Team twice, 3 time All Ivy and in 2003 was named the Ivy League Player of the Year.  After leaving Cornell he twice led Team USA to the Gold Medal and was selected to the All-World Team on defense in both 2002 and 2010.  In the 2002 World Games he was selected as the Most Valuable Defensemen of the tournament.  He also played eight seasons of Major League Lacrosse with both the New Jersey Pride and the Boston Cannons where he as named to the All Star Game three times.  Currently Coach McClay works for Forstone Capital in Bridgeport and lives in Fairfield.
