The Fairfield Prep Crew team is off to a strong start this spring, opening their season with a trip to Maryland to race and train with DeMatha Catholic High School and compete in the Manny Flick Reggatta in Philadelphia on the way back. The Jesuits first and second boats took first and second place respectivly in the Manny Flick. The following weekend the Jesuits defeated both Hotchkiss and Stonigton with their first and second boats on back to back days. This past weekend the Jesuits faced off against Brunswick in the Kulaga Cup and were able to edge the Bruins with their second boat while dropping close races with the first, third and fourth boats. The Prep rowers will look to keep the momentum going with three more race weekends before heading to the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championships at the end of May.
