For the second year in a row, the Fairfield Prep golf team won both the SCC and CIAC tournament championships. On June 1st at The Farms Golf Course in Cheshire the Jesuits captured the school's 12th SCC Championship with a team score of 304. The next closest team was Cheshire with a score of 320. The Jesuits were led by senior Michael Rothberg who shot a tournament best 72. Charlie Duffy and Will Huntington shot 75 and 76 and Jack Gifford rounded out the day with an 81. In the CIAC State Tournament, the Jesuits once again defeated second place Cheshire, this time by 7 strokes. The Jesuits again shot a 304, led by a Rothberg 69, which was the tournament best. Duffy and Huntington shot 73 and 76 and Gifford shot 85. This was the 7th state title for the golf team.
