Prep soccer celebrated senior night Friday evening at Rafferty Stadium as each senior player was honored alongside their family for their four years of dedication to the Fairfield Prep soccer program. The Jesuits fell to Shelton 2-1 after the pre-game ceremony.
Conner Moore scored the lone goal, while the Prep offense pressed the whole game but ultimately, Shelton scored late to break a 1-1 tie. Earlier in the week the Jesuits tied Sheehan 0-0 and defeated Wilbur Cross 4-0. Against Sheehan, the Jesuits shut the Titans out behind stellar play from the entire Prep defense and goalie
Ryan Cowles. Against Cross,
Jose Garcia Mina had 2 goals and 1 assist to lead the Jesuits.
Conner Moore and
Ross Keblish each had a goal while
Nate Montani and
Axel Whamond added assists. The Jesuits will conclude their regular season today with a home game against Hamden High School.
