The Fairfield Prep soccer team defeated Shelton High School 3-0 Tuesday afternoon at Rafferty Stadium to advance to the SCC Tournament Championship.
Jose Garcia Mina scored on a penalty kick in the first half and then scored another one late in the second half on an assist from
Axel Whamond to take a 2-0 lead. A minute later Whamond scored on another penalty kick to seal the game for the Jesuits. All game long, strong defense by

Ryan Cowles helped keep Shelton off the scoreboard. The Jesuits will face Xavier High School in the championship game Thursday night at 7:30pm at West Haven High School.
