The Fairfield Prep soccer team improved to 6-0 on the season and 5-0 in league with back to back wins against Sheehan and Wilbur Cross High School this past weekend. On Friday night the Jesuits traveled to New Haven and defeated Wilbur Cross 4-1. The Jesuits were led by
Axel Whamond who scored two goals, while
Luciano Paoletta and
Lucas Ojea Quintana added a goal each.
Jose Garcia Mina and
Nate Montani had an assist each.
Ryan Cowles made 5 saves in goal while
Michael Demoura and
Santiago Gil gave the Jesuits a spark off the bench.
James Finnerty,
Andrew Chiota and
James Burris were also key playing shut down defense.
Against Sheehan High School, the Jesuits returned home to Rafferty to post a 3-0 shutout.
Axel Whamond and
Jose Garcia Mina each had a goal and an assist.
Conner Moore added a goal of his own and
Nate Montani had an assist.
Ryan Cowles made another 5 saves in the net. The Jesuits will head to Hamden on Thursday for a 5pm game against the Green Dragons.
