The Fairfield Prep football team has advanced to the CIAC Class LL State Championship game and will face Darien High School on Saturday 12/11 at 3pm at Trumbull High School. The Jesuits finished the regular season 9-1 and earned the top seed in the state tournament. Jack Mullen recorded 8 tackles, 4 for a loss and two sacks. Javere Cannonier recorded 2 sacks and had two fumble recoveries and
Jack Richter recorded 6 tackles and a sack. Against Shelton,
Daniel Barnick led the way on offense rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns while Smith connected with
James Iaropoli for a 72 yard touchdown pass. Again, the Jesuits defense dominated with Mullen and
Tymaine Smith recording 11 tackles and a sack each. The Jesuits will try to finish the job tomorrow afternoon in the marquee game of the day.
