The Fairfield Prep lacrosse teamed opened the 2021 season with two victories over SCC opponents, defeating Guilford High School at home and Daniel Hand on the road. The Jesuits defeated Guilford 13-1 and Hand 10-3. Against Hand the Jesuits were led by Marco Firmender's 5 goals and 1 assist. Maddux Little and Tyler Fox each scored two goals, Peter Grandolfo added another goal and Kyle Stevenson chipped in with 3 assits. On the defensive end, Mason Whitney scooped five ground balls and goalie Greg Hilinski made three saves. Ted Bednar went 11/17 on face offs to help give the Jesuits possession. The Jesuits will head to Ridgefield Saturday night for an out of conference matchup.
