The Fairfield Prep Jesuit Lacrosse team improved to 8-4 on the 2022 season by going 3-0 last week vs ND - West Haven, Amity and Boston College HS. Senior attackmen
Pierson Delcristo scored 5 goals to lead the team to a 19-5 victory over ND - West Haven. Other scorers included
Tim Shannehan with 2g, 4a and
Marco Firmender with 3 goals.
Ted Bednar won 17/22 faceoffs and added 13 ground balls in the victory.
On Thursday at Amity HS
Tim Shannehan had 3g, 4a to lead all scorers in the 18-5 road victory.
Tyler Fox,
Marco Firmender and
Peter Grandolfo each added 2 goals while
Ted Bednar won 9/10 faceoffs. The Jesuit defense led by seniors
Emmett Cheever,
Jack Reiling and
Henry Keller held the Spartans to 12 shots on the game.
On Saturday in Rafferty Stadium the Jesuits fell behind early to Boston College HS then stormed ahead to an 11-5 lead after three quarters which ended in a 13-8 home victory.
Tyler Fox led all scorers with 2g, 4a and
Peter Grandolfo added 5 goals. Junior goalie
Greg Hilinski led the defensive effort making 11 saves while
Cooper Callahan and
Gavin McCarthy led a strong riding effort causing 6 caused turnovers and picking up 8 ground balls.
The Jesuits return to action on Monday May 9th vs North Haven at 5:00 pm in Rafferty Stadium.
