The Fairfield Prep Lacrosse team won their 5th straigth SCC Championship game, defeating Daniel Hand 8-5, Thursday night at West Haven High Schoo. Freshman Tim Shanehan led the way with 2 goals and 2 assists. Maddux Little and Marco Firmender each had 2 goals and Patten Royal and Aidan Derby each added 1 goal. Prep senior goalie Sam Cargill was great in net saving 12 shots and Teddy Bednar was 60 percent at the faceoff X. The Jesuits received great defense all game long from SCC Player of the Year Mason Whitney as well as Brendan Howard, Zachary Conn and Palmer Firmender. The Jesuits will return to action next Wednesday when they host Greenwich High School in the first round of the CIAC Class L tournament.
