The Fairfield Prep football team improved to 2-1 in the SCC with a 33-10 victory over Cheshire High School this past Friday night at Rafferty Stadium. Finding themselves in a 10-0 hole in the first quarter, Javere Cannonier picked up a fumble and ran it back 70 yards for a touchdown. The Jesuits never looked back scoring 33 straight points. Wally Wuchiski ran for 125 yards and touchdown while senior running back
Malachi Mercer-Robinson ran for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sophomore
Mason Frey added a touchdown on a blocked field goal by senior
Brice Muller as time expired in the first half. On the defensive side of the ball,
Jon Morris and
Timmy Domizio led the way with 11 and 9 tackles respectively, while
Xander Petrides tacked on 4 tackles, a sack and an interception. The Jesuits will travel to Daniel Hand this Friday for another SCC Tier 1 matchup.
